  “Economic Development and Growth- An Indian Perspective” Resource person :   Dr.KrishnaKothai, Director of Poornaprajna Centre for Research and Development Date : 23 rd August, 2019. Highlight :   Dr.KrishnaKothai, through his lecture raised awareness on Economic Development and Growth in India. He informed the students of importance of key economic indicators and impact of agriculture and industry on the economy.

  An orientation programme on SWAYAM Online courses Resource Person: Prof. Gopalkrishna M. Gokhale Date: 3 rd August, 2019 Highlights: Prof. GopalM.Gokhale through his lecture gave in formation on enrolling for SWAYAM Online courses and exam procedure.

Workshop on Advanced Excel Resource Person: Prof. Srikanth M and Mr.Aravind Date: 4 th and 5 th February, 2019 Highlights: Two days workshop on advanced excel was conducted in association with Department of Computer Science. Prof. Srikanth M and Mr.Aravind were the resource persons.

Odessa Ltd. conducted online aptitude test Date: 21 th September, 2018 Highlights: Odessa Ltd. conducted online aptitude test in our campus and shortlisted 10 students for further rounds on 21 th September, 2018. Shortlisted students were called for an interview at Alva’s College, Moodabidri and selected 2 students for final rounds. (1 st October, 2018). Final round is held on 1 st February, 2019 at Odess Ltd Bangalore and waiting for results.

  Training Program on preparation for NET/SLET Resource Person: Prof. Prashanth Neelavar, Prof. Pradeep A Shetty, Prof. Balraj and Prof. Lavanya Salian. Date:  29 th and 30 th November, 2018 Highlights: Two days Training Program on preparation for NET/SLET has been organised on 29 th and 30 th November, 2018. The Program was scheduled with four technical sessions on General paper and Commerce Paper. Prof. Prashanth Neelavar, Prof. Pradeep A Shetty, Prof. Balraj and Prof. Lavanya Salian were the resource persons.

  Research Methodology and Statistical Tools in Research (SPSS) Resource Person:  Dr. Sureshramana Mayya and Dr. Sreemathi Mayya Date:  25 th October, 2018 Highlights : Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, Dean, Poornaprajna Institute of Management and Dr. Sreemathi Mayya, Associate Professor, Department of Statistics, Manipal University delivered a lecture on “Research Methodology and Statistical Tools in Research (SPSS).” They guided the students on the various methods and techniques used during research which was very much helpful for the students in their academics.

  An Industrial Visit to Adani Power Corporation Place: Padubidri, Udupi Date:  8 th October, 2018 Highlights: An Industrial Visit to Adani Power Corporation, Padubidri, Udupi has been arranged for Final M.Com Students. The students came to know the working of the Industry.
